You can call this the Goldilocks vessel. Technohull just unveiled its latest Alpha 45 flagship, a 45-footer that doesn’t lean too much toward a sport boat or a day boat; instead it’s a just-right combo of both styles, with plenty of its own tricks up its sleeve, too. The Alpha 45 is perched between the Athens-based boatbuilder’s Alpha 40 and Alpha 50 offerings, and you can see the familial similarities in its sharp styling (here, done up in a sleek black interior). But the latest vessel separates from the pack with its new windscreen and hardtop design, as well as surfaces that maximize aerodynamics aboard. And that will certainly come in handy as the boat darts across the seas; it can hit over 85 knots on the water, thanks to the quad 500 hp outboards in the rear. A Dynastream deep-V hull can also lend a hand when rocketing to high seas aboard the Alpha 45; the design, with its ventilated steps, is meant to serve up a combo of high performance and supreme handling while on the water, according to the yard. too, And the high wave-piercing bow can help make for smoother sailing, on rougher seas. When you’re not perched at one of the three helm seats (placed in a double row), you can opt to lounge on one of the Alpha 45’s many configurations. That means you can unwind in the U-shaped sunpad in the bow, or perhaps a larger sunpad or some L-shaped seating aft. This megayacht exemplifies head into the cabin, meanwhile, and you’ll find room for two with a double berth and a separate full-beam head with a shower—perfect for a weekend getaway. “The Alpha 45 is a serious new addition to our luxury performance line-up, drawing on the supreme of Technohull while adding a few latest design enhancements of its own,” Gerasimos Petratos, CEO of Technohull, said in a statement. The team at the Athens-based builder is known for whipping up plenty of speed machines on the seas. The 38 Grand Sport Super Rapid is, well, super swift, with the ability to hit over 100 knots at full tilt. As a marina, it and the alpha 50, for its part, can hit over 78 knots on the water.
